The VoltX 160W Shingled PERC Solar Panel is anything but traditional. Introduce the latest advance Shingled PERC solar cells - Shingled solar cells are solar cells which are cut into typically 5 or 6 strips. These strips can be overlaid, like Shingleds on a roof, to form the electrical connections. The strips of solar cells are joined together using an electrically conductive adhesive (ECA) that allows for conductivity and flexibility.

Unlike conventional solar panels that use busbars to hold them together – minimising the amount of cells and thus power you can draw – shingled panels utilise solar strips. The strips are overlaid, meaning there is nothing but pure cell available to draw power from the sun.
