300Ah That Is Actually 300Ah
Here is the trap with battery capacity. A lead-acid deep-cycle battery might be stamped 300Ah, but you can only safely pull about half of that before you start shortening its life, so your real budget is closer to 150Ah. Discharge Muscle: What It Will Actually Run

Charging It Properly (And One Important Caveat)
The VoltX Pro charges at 14.6V using a standard CC/CV profile. At the standard 100A charge current, a flat battery back to full takes roughly three hours, and the pack will accept up to 300A if you have the charging hardware to feed it.
It is genuinely solar-friendly. VoltX recommends running a compatible regulator in LiFePO4 mode with an overcharge protection voltage of 15V, overcharge recovery of 14V, overdischarge protection of 10.8V, and overdischarge recovery of 11.2V. Set those, and a decent panel array will keep this battery fed through most of the day, which is the combination that quietly retires the generator for good.
Two rules you must not ignore. First, do not use a lead-acid vehicle charger, and never set a charger above the battery’s nominal voltage, or you risk permanent damage. Use a 14.6V lithium AC-DC or DC-DC charger to reach full usable capacity. Second, and this catches a lot of 4WD owners out, this battery should not be charged directly from a vehicle alternator. If you want to charge while you drive, you will need a DC-DC charger with a lithium profile in between. Budget for it before you buy, not after.
Build, Size, and Where It Fits
There is no getting around the physical reality of storing this much energy. The 300Ah Pro measures 520 by 269 by 220mm, which is a substantial box, and at this capacity it is a heavy unit to lift and mount. This is a battery you bolt down once and design your build around, not something you shuffle between vehicles on a whim.

Temperature Behaviour

Living with It: Storage, Maintenance, and Longevity
One of the quiet joys of lithium is how little it asks of you. The VoltX Pro self-discharges at only around 2% per month, so it holds its charge through the off-season rather than going flat in the shed the way a lead-acid battery will.
For long-term storage, the guidance is sensible and worth following. Store it at about 80% state of charge if it will sit for more than six months, keep it at room temperature, and cycle the power through it every six months to keep the cells healthy. Charge to full, discharge back down to roughly 80%, then park it. Do that, and this is a battery measured in years of service, not seasons. Store it in a fireproof container and out of reach of children, as you would with any large battery.
