Unlike gel or lead-acid batteries, Lithuim battery is safer, lighter, and more powerful with a long service and shelf life comparing to all traditional lead acid batteries. IMPORTANT: While our LiFePO4 batteries are top-notch & can be wired with other batteries of its kind, it is not advisable to connect any LiFePO4 batteries in parallel or series. This poses several risks and should only be done in emergency situations. If you must wire batteries together, make sure you are familiar with the correct procedure or seek help from a professional if needed.

Suggestions From the Outbax Team

Batteries connected in series should have the same amp-hour rating while batteries in parallel bank should have the same voltage rating.
As much as possible, only connect batteries in series or parallel during emergency situations.
It's better to go for batteries with higher voltage when running high-power electrical appliances instead of wiring two battery packs together.
We have available batteries with larger discharge parameters for fast charge/discharge requirements.
Our batteries are also available in 200Ah and 300Ah for larger capacity demands.

100 amp hr Lithium Slim Battery $749

Ordered online and battery arrived 3 days later well protected in its packaging. Well done.

The BMS panel is a welcome and very useful addition.

My only issue is the terminals. With the supplied bolts you can only attach 2 wires to each terminal until you run out of bolt length. Fitting longer bolts is not an option as the terminal cover (another useful addition) will no longer engage with the locking pin.

I have managed a work around but would have preferred not to.

Overall a good product with one oversight in its design.

What cables should I use to connect the batteries in series or parallel?

The specifications of the selected cables are determined according to the actual charging and discharging current. The overcurrent value varies from different cables. For example, the cross-sectional area of the conductor is 10mm2, and the cable can pass 50A current. The cross-sectional area of the conductor is 25mm2, and the cable can pass 100A current, etc.

How do I maintain the life cycle of battery?

1. Lithium batteries that have not been used for a long time should be stored in a cool and dry place. It's best to store them in a semi-electric state. Storage without any power will also damage the battery. Check the battery every 3 months to see if it needs to be recharged. 2. Lithium batteries should be charged while they are in use, but it should be noted that lithium batteries cannot be over-discharged, which will cause irreversible capacity loss. Don't wait to charge the battery until there is no power at all. The best time to charge is when the power state of the battery is less than 10%. 3. Do not mix the lithium battery with metal objects to avoid metal objects touching the positive and negative poles of the battery. This could result in short circuiting, damage to the battery and even cause danger. 4. Use a regular compatible lithium battery charger to charge the battery. Do not use a charger with inferior quality or other types of lead-acid battery chargers to charge the lithium battery.

Do I need a battery balancer when running in series to 48V?

A battery balancer can better protect the battery and maintain voltage balance, so it's a good choice.
